Gazing series (1996–1998)

When I first started working, my father taught me about the impor-tance of the art of observation. He especially stressed that the eyes are a great portal that gives away one’s personality, character, and previous life experiences. Therefore, the best way to know and understand a person is by studying the expression of the eyes. The window to the soul, the eyes allow us to read people and to be read at the same time. Through the exchange of eye contact, one can easily tell if a connection, be it intellectual or emotional, could be established.
